Talk
How SAP mid-market companies gain more structure in 90 days – without slowing down development
Sound familiar? The colleague who is the only one who knows why that Z-transaction looks the way it does is retiring. Nobody can explain anymore why a decision was made against the SAP standard five years ago. And every upgrade turns into an excavation. These are not technical problems – what is missing are guardrails for everyday decisions.
Especially in the mid-market, this does not require a multi-year architecture programme or a new role. The talk uses real damage patterns from SAP projects to show what happens without such guardrails – and how, with manageable effort, more structure, maintainability and future-readiness emerge without slowing down development. From this, a pragmatic 90-day plan is derived: which few rules are really needed? Which decisions must be documented? And how is architecture lived in everyday work instead of sitting in a folder?
TOGAF, the SAP EA Framework and Architecture Decision Records serve as a toolbox – not as an end in themselves.
